Duo Splash Floats is owned and operated by Tanya and Kevin Sjodin. We created Duo Splash Floats to fill a gap we discovered in the pool float industry.

Duo Splash Floats was inspired by my children. My daughter was practically a fish her first summer even though she was only six months old then, and she enjoys the water more and more the older she gets. I thought her brother could be just like her, a human fish. I began to wonder what I would do when he is born and how will I bring them to pool play dates, parties, or the lake and keep the kids together in separate floats. Will my summers be spent indoors?

We are outdoor people and love spending time at the beach, on the lake, hiking in the mountains, camping, and just being outside. When I went to the pool I would see a mom with her two kids in separate floats trying desperately to keep them together.

She would have one hand on one float, the other on another float. All would be well until the kids would start splashing and kicking, getting water in her eyes, she would let go to wipe her brow and before she knew it they were starting to drift away from each other. She would grab them both and pull them closer and the cycle would continue. Pool time for her seemed to be quite the hassle and I knew I would be in that same predicament very soon. I just knew there had to be a better way

I thought to myself that I must find a float for my two small children! That is the only way this was going to be doable. So I went out and looked to buy one of these floats, but they were nowhere to be found! That is when Duo Splash Floats began to take form. I wanted a float that I would be able to put both my kids in securely so we can enjoy our water fun.

The only problem was I didn't know how to turn this idea into a reality. I was talking to my husband one night about my idea and telling him that I wanted to make this float but didn't know how. Being the entrepreneur that he is, he sprung into action and said that he would find out and we would do it.

One thing lead to another, and before we knew it, Duo Splash Floats, LLC was created and our first product was designed and in production!

It was quite a ride but we are really excited to offer our floats to the public to solve the same problems we had. We hope you enjoy our products and that you find our floats very, very useful!
